Anointing of the Sick

“Through this holy anointing may the Lord in his love and mercy help you by the grace of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord who heals you, save you and raise you up.”

Traditionally referred to as Last Rites, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is administered both to the dying and to those who are seriously ill.

If you or a member of your family, are in danger of death, either from sickness or old age, you should not delay receiving the sacrament. Please call the parish office or a priest. Hospitals have a hospital chaplain and the parish secretary will inform him of parishioners who have been hospitalised.

The Sacrament of the Sick can be received as often as is required.
